BOLA - Kroungrine

BOLA - Kroungrine (Skam) Comentários: It's been just about 3 years since we last heard from electronic luminary Daryl Fitton's Bola project - a long hiatus in which this master-producer has clearly been busy writing and perfecting his long awaited fourth album. The first thing that strikes you about "Kroungrine" is just how beautifully produced it is - in amongst the fractured beats and polished sound design lie disparate sound elements that give away Fitton's love of a number of genre's that are rarely associated with electronic music of this kind, most of all jazz. Bola albums have always retained at their core a deeply musical element, but its here on "Kroungrine" that these come up to the fore most readily - starting off with the deep textured melodic layers that construct album opener "Zoft Broiled Ed". By the time you reach third track in "Waknuts" you're back in the sort of territory that made Bola classics such as "Forcassa" and "Aguila" such memorable musical events back in the day - musical pieces that, while utilising the most advanced production tools imaginable, retain at their core a use of melodic archetypes that could be accessed and enjoyed by anyone regardless of their musical vocabulary. A deeply involving listen from start to finish - it's really good to finally have Bola back. in boomkat [Para Ouvir]

São verdadeiros mágicos. A qualidade de produção dos seus discos é excelente.
"Soup" é um dos meus discos favoritos.

acho que esta espera valeu a pena, serviu para absorver as antigas produções, reflectir sobre elas, saborear... sentir...
