DJ PUNISHER (Delroy Edwards) - Untitled

Freestyling, noisy dancefloor hammers from Delroy Edwards in DJ Punisher mode on LA Club Resource! Hot on the heels of his killer 'Teenage Tapes' mini-LP for The Death Of Rave, Delroy takes that album's aesthetic one step further with four tracks veering from schranzy pound to banking walls of distortion and dub. It boots up with a jagged acid noise assault coming off like Russell Haswell meets Gene Hunt on a furious whiskey session before descending into a pair of brutalist beat-offs oscillating between wild knob twisting and crushing, Prurient-style noise violence on the front; the unrelenting wall of noise on the flipside displays a more patient and equally devastating approach with the roiling expanse of modulated distortion beside a skeletal machine dub killah. CUBE - Her Instrument

CUBE - Her Instrument (Digitalis) Rhythms can bring down a dilapidated building by using the sharpest edges and heaviest grade. Soothing voices are mechanized to remove any and all emotion. Bass is the throbbing in your head after drinking until 7 am and watching the sun rise with no recollection at all. Into the pit we disappear as surprising melodies emerge from static to envelope subterranean dancefloors inside claustrophobic loops. Longing presents itself in strategic ways, inside sullen tones that never seem to end, but once the exoskeleton is broken and the fleshy bits pour out, there's no place left to hide. "Her Instrument" cassete edit is out on Digitalis - physical format currently out of stock, only available on digital here.

German Army - M.U. Podcast 77# (April 2014)

Other than echoing the production and musical assemblage of a certain English Industrial band that was around in the '70s, little is really known about German Army other than its knack for self-produced recordings, built mostly on experimentations. The mix contains Lost songs of GeAr, submissions, q///q, finalcop, MERX, and Ger^^an. Think you’re a big dog coz you popped the cork on a couple of bottles? This, this is how a sneakerhead pops cork. The latest custom joints from JBF Customs, the iconic Nike SB Dunk Highhas been completely gutted, utilising genuine one hundred percent pure A-grade cork alongside baby-soft black suede through the reconstruction. Anyone that understands the fragility of cork and its properties will get the lengths JBF went to get this job looking one hunna. Props to the custom creation king and keep up to date with all the latest from JBF via his webpage. via sneakerfreaker

Eric Thielemans - Sprang

Eric Thielemans - Sprang (Miasmah Norway) Comentários: "Adventurous Belgian percussionist Eric Thielemans makes a fairly unusual entry into the Miasmah catalogue with the surprisingly positive sounding album Sprang. Thielemans has actually appeared on the label earlier - as guest percussionist on Kreng´s debut album L´Autopsie Phenomenal De Dieu. Although you can recognize the sound on this record, the main focus of Sprang is to revert to the pure joy of sound experimentation and letting go of your foothold. Thielemans's previous exercises in expanding singular ideas and rituals in the two genre-bending and theoretical albums, A Snare Is A Bell (Ultra Eczema, 2008) & EARR Plays A Snare Is A Bell (Sub Rosa, 2012), inevitably leads to Sprang. Embracing the bliss of working freely with his many percussion tools, he creates 11 pieces that are both instinctual and industrial. His impulses evoke a calm yet alive atmosphere where there is always movement. The tones of dripping water, settling dew, and flourishing plants of spring are juxtaposed with unexpected sounds of motion, of factory equipment, and gears turning. Though Sprang is a solo percussion album, its detail and depth is something wholly unique. Thielemans broadens his theory that there is always more to hear, more depth to interpret, and a way for the listener to add their own elements and create something new. A welcome addition to the Miasmah catalogue, whose slogan  "music for scenes and places" maybe never have been more spot on." in boomkat
