Nike Men's Air Max BW GENII Paris QS Sneakers

The Nike Men's Air Max BW GENII Paris QS Sneakers, seen here in blue. Inspired by the global fashion capital of Paris, for 2013 Nike rework their iconic Air Max silhouette with contemporary Quickstrike touches. Produced in a rich shade of blue, the sneakers have a suede and mesh upper with light blue Nike Air and Air Max branding. They are built onto an updated version of the Air Max sole unit that has a split midsole - in common with the brand’s popular Free Run model - as well as a visible air bubble. The sneakers are finished with a striped lining, deubre lace tag and red Paris patch on the tongue.

Gábor Lázár / Russell Haswell - Split

Gábor Lázár / Russell Haswell - Split (Last Foundation) Killer, sharply contrasting split of hyper-rhythmic electronics and drone-noise. Last Foundation label boss Gábor Lázár impresses with with four pieces of hyperventilating, strobing pulses coming off like a Mark Fell or SND production; calculated and efficiently minimised tessellations arranged for optimal effect. Haswell endears himself with a side-long, 22:20min piece entitled 'E-S.S.D' wrenching us, cochlea first, between banking drones and visceral white noise tornados with asphyxiating dynamics. Highly recommended! in boomkat

The Nike Air Max 180 OG Sneakers, seen here in white. Originally touted as Nike’s most technically advanced trainers upon their release in 1991, the Air Max 180s have been reissued for 2013. This OG edition features the same silhouette and Max Air unit, but has been updated with a vintage-effect sole. Produced in an ultramarine and sail colour scheme, the uppers are made from nylon mesh and soft textile fabric. They feature swoosh branding down each side of the foot, as well as, branding on the tongue and heel. Made from textile and nylon.

The Nike Roshe Run Woven Sneakers, seen here in night grey.  Originally released in 2012 and designed to bridge the gap between lifestyle and performance footwear, Nike offer a fresh update on the Roshe Run crafting the uppers from woven nylon and brushed suede. The mesh uppers provide breathability for the foot and are built on lightweight rubber soles. The sneaker’s transformation is completed by tonal laces and they are finished with cushioned versions of the Nike swoosh running down each side of the foot. Made from nylon and rubber.

[PHYSICS] - Spectramorphic Iridescence

[PHYSICS] - Spectramorphic Iridescense (Digitalis) Los Angelino android [PHYSICS] logs into the vaporwave cloud with this engrossing debut album of synthesised electronic emotions and holomorphic narrative. Paralleling the piloerect melodic triggers of Oneohtrix Point Never and the trans-dimensional fidelities of Hype Williams or James Ferraro, 'Spectramorphic Iridescence' is a like viscous psycho-sonic balm for those pleasure centres that respond most acutely to futurist nostalgia, a silicone VR vaporub of frothy arpeggiation and digital enzymes totally recalling alien memory implants from our DNA altered by decades of viral binary cultures conceived in the Hollywood labs and hi-tech valleys only miles from the artist's base. Oscillating between neon darkness and smudged ultra-violet light spectrum the journey swerves from Vangelis-lite Blade Runner themes in 'Anodyne Dream' to the neuromantic geometrics of 'Isosceles Trapezoid' and the Citrac-esque cyber gunk flow of 'The Keep', before ascending to the quick bliss highlights of 'Cardinal Perplexogram' and the melting moire glisten of 'The Grid Vanishes', to conclude with a melodically and emotionally ambiguous, flickering AI glance in 'Ultimate L', leaving the neural gateways open for a sequel, or possible prequel. in boomkat.

The Cyclist - Bones in Motion

Katharine Hamnett's T-Shirt

The photograph of Katherine Hamnett meeting Margaret Thatcher at Downing Street in 1984 is embedded in culture way beyond fashion. Queen of the protest garm Hamnett's 58% DON'T WANT PERSHING t-shirt spoke the wishes of the British public, bold as brass, opposing the stationing of nuclear missiles in the UK. Legend goes that Thatcher "made a noise like a chicken" on noticing the text, which was hidden under Hamnett's jacket and removed just before their introduction. Legend also has it the designer faced a bankrupting audit as punishment for the embarrassment. via dazeddigital

Das Triadische Ballet by Oskar Schlemmer

Masayoshi Fujita & Jan Jelinek - Do You Know Otahiti?

Masayoshi Fujita & Jan Jelinek - Do You Know Otahiti? (Faitiche) The third of four Faitiche compilations (due to be collected in one boxset), 'Do You Know Otahiti?' features Jan Jelinek in collaboration with Japanese vibraphone player Masayoshi Fujita, along with two solo pieces. Recorded live at Frameworks, Munich, 2012, the first duo part ascends from hushed jazz to a slow swelling cosmic vortex with wonderful subtlety, and the 2nd, Live at AvantJazz, Barcelona, 2012 feels more exotic, drifting and lilting, with trickling drums and dusty ambience. The title piece is a two-fold collage superimposing unreleased material with fragments taken from a radio collage in delicately fractal tessellations, and 'Toton' is an unreleased piece of radiophonic dub house groove dating to 2009 and thoroughly recommended to followers of the whole Frak/Atelier/Busen soundcloud. in boomkat

OAKE - M.U. Podcast 58 # (April 2013)

OAKE it's a girl and boy from Berlin    (Eric and Bathseba) that are making « haunted, moody, atmospheric pagan-pop with shades of early Coil, The Sugarcubes and The Haxan Cloak  ». OAKE release "Offenbarung" should be coming out this week on Regis's Downwards Label (founded by Karl 'Regis' O'Connor, enjoys its 20th year of existence). Meanwhile check out the Erajh Nur Dwafa video.
About the mix: It is built around a custom made OST of the movie "Messiah of Hell". Seba and I decided not too just mix tracks with each other, but try to do like a horror movie audio book. We hope you enjoy it!
OAKE - We don't have any expectations, really. we will just try to spend as much time as possible making music, which means writing new pieces and also thinking about how we'd perform them live. Eventually we will feel ready and then we'll see if people are eager to find out about what we've done. The time is now! OAKE Facebook | Soundcloud | Tumblr
