ZOMBY X BURIAL - Sweetz (Hyperdub)

Whilst unmistakably UK, its easy to detect influence from turnt US trap and druggy SA Gqom woven into its fractious mise-en-scene of crackling lighters, lone owls and muezzin chorales smudged with drizzle and ganja smoke, perfectly hovering beyond the ‘floor in a furrowed, fugged-up headspace all of their own. Seriously, they need to do a whole album of this stuff together, or at least get some soundtrack commissions for the next Neil Blomkamp or Bladerunner flick. Highly recommended!
