GRIM LUSK - SUNLP0101 (Domestic Exile) Grim Lusk is a brand new alias of producer and experimentalist Murray Collier, who first came to our attention as one half of Optimo Music act Pussy Mothers. As you'd perhaps expect, this debut mini-album is devilishly difficult to pin down, with Collier fusing elements borrowed from a myriad of styles - dub, industrial funk, ambient, instrumental hip-hop, dark post-punk disco, experimental electronica and lo-fi techno included - to create entertaining and ear-pleasing workouts overflowing with interesting ideas. At times, the resultant cuts sound a little like Golden Teacher after a few too many sherberts, at others L.I.E.S style cuts peppered with inspired instrumentation.
