GERMAN ARMY - Then Is Now (A Flooded Need) German Army is a duo from the San Gabriel Valley. Born between Sydney Possuelo and Paulo Freire, this project is as prolific and productive as it is shrouded in mystery. 

Characterized by a certain amount of experimentation aimed at sound collage, the most industrial plunderphonics, and the darkest noises, the enigmatic Californian collective has accustomed us to a certain variability of musical genres, but also, without a doubt, to an unquestionably high level of quality and a perennial dark emotional component, which reveals itself in an exquisitely overbearing manner in their work.

'Then is Now' certainly doesn't spare itself in this, gently dragging us (but with no way out) into a dreamlike and post-apocalyptic scenario. The air is rarefied, the atmosphere terribly poisonous; noisy organic references mingle with ruined urban components. A constant tension suffocates us during this sludge-filled sonic journey, forcing us to bear the weight of an important truth: 'Time is the merciless executioner, place the poor sacrificial victim'.
