MATER SUSPIRIA VISION - Antropophagus (The Giallo Disco remixes) (Giallo Disco) For those not in the know Mater Suspria Vision are one of last remaining first wave of Witch House, proceed without prejudice, MSV were a truly bizarre one of a kind group. Combining Cosmic style with early Krautrock experimentation, bootleg VHS and a wild sense of humour, MSV have been one of our favourite groups for a long time. We’ve taken their last LP Antropophagus and run it through the Giallo Disco filter, featuring remixes by Xander Harris, Parasols AKA Ali Renault, Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor. Mastered by Alek Stark, Art by Eric Lee and Giorgio Anselmi.

OLIVER HO/DANNY PASSARELLA - Multi
OLIVER HO /DANNY PASSARELLA - Multi (Passarella) The 2nd release on Passarella Records is “an exploration of gender and growth, moving between he superficially binary genders, creating new identities through this process”. Male enters on a carpet of dry iced synths, possessed by drifting ghost-in-the-machine voices and spare, Far Eastern sounding percussion, beside the drily spacious Linn hits and drifting chorales of Female which could almost be taken from some Forced Nostalgia reissue. With Back they evacuate the mind into a cold, spherical echo chamber, and really grasp something out of the darkness with jagged strings and pensive, cinematic story-telling in Forth.

HEALING FORCE PROJECT - Gravitational Lensing
HEALING FORCE PROJECT - Gravitational Lensing (Firecracker Recordings) Comentários: In this guise, Italy’s Antonio Marini is responsible for a string of celebrated releases spread across Berceuse Heroique, Nous, and Bedouin Records, a.o., and now commits his finest yet to Edinburgh’s Firecracker Recordings. Gravitational Lensing is a fluidly immersive suite of polymetric time signatures knitted with bubbling electro-acoustic abstraction and drones to sound like some parallel dimension mirror of electric-era Miles Davis, 23 Skidoo’s worldly jazz-funk and the kind of psychedelic atmospheres practised by Gruppo d’Improvvisazione. It’s what Squarepusher could have sounded like if he hadn’t spiralled into fretless frappery; instead working a tuff but super loose funk from dry, cracking drum machines and sparring breakbeats knitted with eyes-shut chord progressions and a seemingly mystic sampler that spits pure magick vibes. For the dancers, astro-jazz-nauts and DJs, this is a bit of a no brainer. Highly recommended!

New York Noise: Dance Music From The New York Underground 1977-1982
“This is the new 2016 edition of Soul Jazz Records' long out of print first New York Noise collection, Dance Music From The New York Underground 1978-82. New York Noise is the story of the intersection between experimental dance music and art in downtown New York. This ground-breaking release gave rise to a series of three albums featuring the likes of Snatch, Glenn Branca, Rhys Chatham, Sonic Youth, Ut, Jim Jarmusch and many more downtown figures as well as a deluxe photography book that featured everyone from David Byrne to Madonna (now out-of-print). This new 2015 edition features classic New York post-punk, punk funk and no wave tracks from Arthur Russell/Dinosaur L, James White and the Contortions, The Theoretical Girls, Mars, Konk, Material, Bush Tetras, Lizzy Mecrier Descloux as well as new tracks by Alan Vega (Suicide), Chain Gang and Implog.” listen samples

KERRIDGE - Fatal Light Attraction
KERRIDGE - Fatal Light Attraction (Downwards) Kerridge returns to Downwards in 2016 with the custom-built electronics of Fatal Light Attraction following last year’s incursions on his own Contort label. The project premiered at Berlin’s Atonal 2015 edition, featuring Kerridge working alongside Andrej Boleslavsky & Maria Júdová to create an intense, kinetic shadowplay synched as an illusive counterpart to the music and performance. As Kerridge’s 3rd long player, it marks a more fluid, or effluent, refinement of his sound, blurring the boundaries between organic audio sources and custom-constructed synths to flooding the senses with waves of bristling, oxidising industrial tones and coruscating texturhythm seemingly intent on separating flesh from bone. It’s evil stuff, all seven tracks of it, forming a closed feedback system of guttural, choking frequencies and cardiac arrhythymatics..
