taupe set xl is an experimental devotional sound project. I primarily use my voice as an instrument and singing as a ritual to channel the wordless stories that lived in my body and psyche, allowing them to emerge from deep within so that I may acknowledge, release, and perhaps heal them. My work gives voice to complex experiences of grief, loss, love, and more — some of which are mine to process and some of which I have inherited from those who came before me. Leaning into my training and experience as a hypnosis practitioner, I create vocal trances that invite us to attune to the poetry deep within ourselves and to rest in the present.

Description:
Inspired by the hypnagogic state between wakefulness and sleep, I curated a mix of cavernous, oceanic, ephemeral, and dissonant sounds. Imagine: breathing underwater, dancing in the void, dissolving sediment through your fingers, wading through clouds, slinking through the shadows.
