HTDC - Motionless Constant (Self Released)

Artwork & Design by Accult Studio

HTDC (How To Disappear Completely) is a live collective based in Poland, Completely formed in the spring of 2012. Taking its name from Doug Richmond's 1985 book, the collective crafts experimental soundscapes that seamlessly blend ambient, drone, and ethereal elements.

*Motionless Constant*, released on January 5, 2025, is a companion to the Aural Stream Ep. This release features a collection of reimagined tracks derived from the Aural Stream sessions, highlighting HTDC's distinctive approach to reshaping and recontextualizing sound.

Each element of the EP is deliberately crafted. The perceived silences, distortions, and audio deformations—whether intentional, accidental, or unexpected—are integral to the sonic journey.

Motionless Constant (Version): A meditative reworking that unfolds with delicate layers of texture and restrained intensity; Solara: A shimmering exploration of light and shadow, combining drone-like resonance with subtle melodic currents; Lux Vivens (Version): A haunting reinterpretation that evokes a sense of timeless melancholy, enhanced by its nocturnal undertones.

*Motionless Constant* envelops listeners in a haunting, nocturnal atmosphere. Its lo-fi textures and experimental layers inspire deep introspection, making it essential listening for fans of melancholic and ethereal music. This work is an essential listen for those drawn to the haunting beauty of Imagine Drowning, Unworn, and William Basinski. Big Tip!
