BUG, Steve / VARIOUS - Fabric 37 (Fabric) Comentários: Minimal house veteran and Poker Flat boss Steve Bug presides over this latest Fabric mix, stringing together tracks from a broad range of dancefloor disciplines, ranging from the hip minimalism of Rework and Chloe to more fleshed out, soulful fodder from the likes of Ben Westbeech and Gene Hunt. Opening with tracks from Sunshine Jones, Smallville's DJ Swap ad Peace Division, the set kicks off with a colourful selection that gradually begins to max out with one or two synth-heavy, vocally augmented cuts. The mix takes a turn toward more minimal ground by the time we arrive at Mikael Stavostrand's 'Can You See Through My Eyes', a theme continued by Adultnapper and Lee Curtis. Things start to sound a little more intense by the time you reach Brendan Moeller's 'Saviour', full of modulating synths and digitised dub stabs, a track that finds a soulmate in Echologist's 'Faith NY'. The selection wraps up with Gui.tar's 'Red Doggy', a fairly odd signing off from Bug, featuring some old-fashioned synth-slap bass and swirling, vaguely spooky pads. in boomkat [Para Ouvir/Samples]
