Atheus opens the twelve with "Deploy", a squashed midnight dub track reminiscent of classic Deepchord material and proof, if it were needed, that this guy is fast making a name for himself in the dub techno scene with some of the most floating bassline House you'll hear this year. Quantec opts for a more washed-out sound, "Metamorphosed" building on stretched chords and gently padded drums, while the mysterious BVdub supplies the longest track here, immersed in stretched bass tones and subtle changes that work a treat. Meanwhile's Remote ends the EP with a short and utterly engrossing bassline session that finds the perfect balance between ethereal arrangements and quietly propulsive percussion.
