VARIOUS - Dubstep Drama - The Official Soundtrack To Dubplate Drama Series 2 (Rinse) Comentários: The second cd they've released and the Rinse label is already making waves in the dubstep scene, this time securing the rights to put out the soundtrack to niche Channel 4 'grime soap opera' dubplate drama. They've managed to bag plenty of exclusive nuggets too with killer cuts from Skream (remixing none other than scene Godfather Zinc), Benga and Psychotic! Next to these special one-offs the disc is more of a best of the genre compilation, picking up on Skream's career-defining 'Midnight Request Line' (alongside two others, thankfully he actually showed up in the TV series too), Benga's 'Evolution' a Geeneus remix of Wonder's 'What' and the heavy hitting Eastern blast of Shotz' 'Arabian Nightmare'. It's a stunning disc from beginning to end, clearly put together by someone who not only knows the genre but genuinely has love for it too, not something you'd usually expect to find with a television series. As both an advert for the imminent DVD and a raised flag for the dubstep genre this should hopefully make waves, but with America on board for the duration now, how long can it possibly stay pure?
